Dream Home Charities is a 501C3 Nonprofit Organization. We help multiple local charity organizations help the less fortunate. 100% of all donations given to us are given back to our local community where it's needed most. There are no administration fees, salaries or anything paid for anything. All is done through volunteers. There are not many nonprofit organizations out there that can say this.
I had always dreamed of working for a nonprofit organization. But such as life, when you're married with 2 small children and financial obligations, you work whatever job you can to have an income that provides for them. You see, my dream of making a difference through a nonprofit wasn't on my time, it was on God's time. As years passed, I became very sick and in the 6 months that followed, God started His plan and directed me on a path to real estate. Never in my life, did I think I would get my real estate license, but I did and started working for a nationwide company. 3½ years later, I opened my own real estate business - Dream Home Realty Center - and it's become an amazing career and one I am very very thankful for and makes me very happy. Eleven short months after Dream Home Realty Center opened, God gave me a vision of filling a trolley full of new toys for Toys for Tots. That was five years ago. "Fill Santa's Trolley" was the start of something that would grow into something much more.
"Fill Santa's Trolley" grew into "Fill Santa's Bus." "Fill Santa's Bus" grew into "Fill Santa's Semi." "Fill Santa's Semi" grew into "Fill Santa's 2 Semi(s)!" This year, we had to call for another 24 foot semi and filled 2½ semis with donations that were distributed to 25 LOCAL charitable organizations. Many, many hours are spent preparing for Fill Santa's Semis throughout the year. It takes consistent fundraising efforts such as our Disco Bingo summer event. It takes an army of people on "Fill Santa's Semis" day alone. We purchase items with cash donations. We handle and move boxes multiple times. We fill cars, trucks, vans and trailers. We put smiles on the faces of those who need help. What our community does when we pull together for "Fill Santa's Semis" is something we don't hear about as often as we should.
We're planning for continued growth with the momentum we've built. Our vision is to find some land to build a warehouse on or possibly find a warehouse type building that is for sale. The process we are doing now is great however, with the continued growth and the continued outpour of requests to help the less fortunate we just don't have enough space now. If we can get the help from supporters like you and possibly some big corporations or businesses to help us raise the funds we will not only be able to help more people during our event the first Saturday in Dec but we will be able to help all year round. As it stands today, the annual event has become very physically demanding. We are beyond excited to soon be better equipped to collect and provide donations to our community on a regular basis and look forward to "Filling Santa's Warehouse."
Together we CAN and WILL make a difference!
